Rise Analytics to Sponsor Filene's All Things Payments Center of Excellence Through 2028

Rise Analytics to Sponsor Filene's All Things Payments Center of Excellence Through 2028

Together, Rise Analytics and the Filene Research Institute will help credit unions navigate the changing payments space.

Tampa, FL – July 29, 2026 – Rise Analytics, a Trellance company, in partnership with the Filene Research Institute, today announced its sponsorship and involvement in the All Things Payments Center of Excellence through 2028.

First launched in 2016, Filene’s Centers of Excellence model organizes research around the most pressing issues credit unions are facing, allowing them to find and apply research in order to continue to meet member needs and advance the credit union movement.

The All Things Payments Center of Excellence looks at the rapidly evolving payments space and helps credit unions stay ahead of member needs and expectations, technology advancements and regulatory changes.

Rise Analytics will contribute to the All Things Payments initiative in two ways. First, it will share its expertise in helping credit unions use payments intelligence to identify member needs, personalize engagement, strengthen relationships and uncover growth opportunities. Second, Rise Analytics will validate emerging payment trends and research findings using its proprietary Caspian data pool – an anonymized, nationwide database representing over eight million credit union members, over 20 million accounts and over $5 billion in transactions. By combining Filene's research capabilities with real-world payment behavior, the partnership will provide credit unions with practical, data-driven insights into how consumers are adopting new payment technologies, how payment behavior is changing and what strategies can help institutions remain competitive.

Some of the questions Filene and Rise Analytics will help credit unions answer include:

  • How are credit unions gaining or losing payment volume to banks, fintechs and digital wallets?
  •  How are consumer payment preferences evolving across generations and member segments?
  • What payment behaviors are most predictive of deeper member relationships and long term member value?

“Payments has always been a vital part of any credit union,” said Paolo Teotino, Executive Director at Rise Analytics. “By combining Filene’s research with our data, we can help credit unions understand what’s happening, how it’s changing and how it’s impacting them day-to-day, so credit unions can create a solid action plan to navigate through the payments opportunities.”

“Data capabilities and insights are crucial across our Centers of Excellence, but this need is especially clear in All Things Payments. We are very thankful to have Rise Analytics and their payments data expertise to accelerate the work that we’re doing,” said Jessica Gamache, Head of Research at the Filene Research Institute.

The partnership will continue through 2028 alongside 19 credit unions and system partners, allowing for three years of in-depth research and evolution of the Center of Excellence.
